bl.ofdoom.com
bl.ofdoom.com is an automated real time blocking list generated from attempts to email nonexistent accounts, on a few domains.
It follows these rules:
- Each attempt to email a nonexistent address adds one point to the /24 net block containing the offending IP address.
- When the score for a net block is greater than 15, that /24 block gets added to the block list.
- When the score for a net block has not increased for 8 hours, one point is taken away every hour.
- When the score drops below 15, the /24 block is removed from the block list.
The block list can be queried via dns from rbl.ofdoom.com, in the usual manner for an ip based blocklist.
Currently there are 241 blocks on the list.
